Serni Fulvio Luigi's family run estate, founded in 1974,  is located in the territory of Castagneto Carducci, on the Thyrrenian coast, at the foot of the hills which protect the town from the northern winds and a few miles from the sea.

The estate covers 15 hectares, of which the vineyard comprises 7,5 hectares. There are also 600 olive trees, some of which are over 100 years old, which lead to the well known Castagneto Carducci's Cypress Avenue.

In 2001, a new vineyard was planted to produce Serni’s flagship wine, Bolgheri DOC 'Acciderba',  a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese, which is aged for twelve months in barriques. In 2003, Serni decided to introduce Vermentino to it's range. Then in 2009, to complete the transformation, Serni built a stunning new winery in the heart of the vineyard.

The estate is a member of the Bolgheri DOC Consortium which comprises a total of thirty three estates.

    Tasting Notes:

Vermentino, commonly known as Rolle in south of France, is a very aromatic grape.

Intense bouquet of floral and almond notes. The palate is rather lemony and mineral.

This is perfect as an aperitif, it will please your tasting buds, to be enjoyed as itself. However, it would find its place easily alongside a seafood salad, grilled fish or prawn brochettes and vegetable pasta dishes.

Italian speciality Farfalle con verdure (vegetarian pasta dish with  zucchini, and asparagus)

    Tasting Notes:

The Bolgheri region is truly one of the most prestigious wine-making regions in Italy. Tegoleto is an enjoyable easy drinking version of "Super-tuscan" style without the oaky flavour. It is very different and lighter than its his younger brother (Acciderba was introduced in 2001).

The nose is full of red fruit like strawberry with a touch of dark chocolate and spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied wine, releasing plenty of red fruit.

To be enjoyed with red meat, poultry and game such as guinea fowl and partridge.

Italian speciality  Anatra Muta alle foglie d’olivo  (Duck with spring  olive leaves)

    Tasting Notes:

"Super-tuscan" style at its best. The young Bolgheri DOC, recognised in the mid 90’s, produces stunning wines. Acciderba, a typical blend, will captivate your senses with its depth and complexity.

A real harmony of elegance, intensity and finesse. The ripe fruit and spiciness is well balanced with vanilla notes (from its 12 months spent in French barriques following a long maceration). It can be enjoyed now and also if left a few more years in the cellar.

A truly accomplished full-bodied wine. Best when accompanying red meat and game as well as cheese such as Parmeggiano-Reggiano.

Italian speciality Bisteca alla Fiorentina (Literally a BBQ T-Bone steak from Tuscany)
